My name is Meredith and I am from Southwestern Sydney, Australia.
I have been working in the beauty industry for over 16 years. I have always had a passion for the beauty industry and absolutely love seeing my clients leave feeling great about themselves, it’s the most rewarding feeling.
I believe that no matter how long you have been doing something there is always more to learn , for this reason I have done a massive amount of training and still regularly attend advanced courses and masterclasses to this day.
Here is a list of some of the training I have done:
-Certificate in Nails
-Certificate 3 in hairdressing
-Many advanced hairdressing courses through pivot point, goldwell, keune and many more.
-Facial waxing and tinting course
-Lash Lift and Eyelash extensions certificate
-Spray tan training
-Masterclass in Microblading
-and of course my favorite: Im a certified Cosmetic Tattoo Technician
How did I become a cosmetic tattoo artist ?
I have always had very sparse eyebrows, this combined with over plucking during my teenage years left me with not much hair left at all. Every morning I would use makeup to fill in my eyebrows and learnt to do a great job but I was always very self conscious, worried that they would rub off during the day.
Working out and swimming was a nightmare, it was actually a running joke in the salon I worked in “be careful not to wash of Meredith eyebrows when shampooing”. I think working in the beauty industry and in front of mirrors everyday just made me even more self conscious about my brows (or lack of).
This may seem rediculous to some people , but for those of you that have a similar problem you would know exactly how I felt.
One year just before a family summer holiday I finally decided to have my eye brows tattooed, I did my research and finally found a reputable cosmetic tattooist in my area. Now I realise it really wasn’t a great job, at the time I was very happy with the result. No longer did I have to worry, I was so much more confident when I went swimming and was so happy with the time it saved me every morning. It really did change my life.
A little while later I also had my eye liner tattooed just along the lash line to make my eye lashes appear thicker.
Two years later I discovered the hairstroke eyebrows. It was a natural softer look and gave me the perfect brows I thought I would never have.
I continue to have my eyebrows touched up every year to keep them looking perfect and my eyeliner every few years.
These treatments amazed me and changed my life in such a way that I wanted to be able to do this for other people. I decided I would train in the art of cosmetic tattoo and become a cosmetic tattoo artist.
I trained with Val Glover-Hovan of “Cosmetic Tattoo Australia”, Australia’s first and most respected cosmetic tattoo training centre.
I am now dedicated to enhancing facial features with permanent eyebrows, eye liner, lip liner and full lip colour. Most of my clients say “I should have done this years ago”. I always love seeing what a difference these treatments make to a clients face and confidence!
I am a member of the SPCP, “The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals” they hold their members to very high standards which I believe is a must when you are working on peoples faces.
I also do a lot of other beauty treatments, such as : hair , makeup, lash lift, eyebrow shaping and restoration, eyebrow tinting and henna, eyelash extensions, cnd shellac manicures, spray tans and more! I absolutely love learning!!! I find it so exciting learning new techniques, so I am constantly training and attending advance masterclasses.
I have 2 gorgeous boys that I love to death and in 2013 I opened “forever Fabulous Cosmetic Tattoo & Beauty” and haven’t looked back. It has been so exciting watching my business grow and I absolutely love when I have clients tell me that I have a great name in the industry. I get to work with people I love everyday and I have wonderful clients that make it a joy to go to work.
I love being a cosmetic tattoo artist,
Come and visit the salon one day.
